Re “New California law means no more surcharges at San Diego restaurants” (May 13): Cry me a river, restaurateurs. Many of you have been hiding the true costs of our meals for years and now you’ll have to be honest with us. The very fact that you’re worried that fewer people will frequent your establishments if you price honestly is testament to the fact that you’ve intentionally used deceptive pricing to your advantage. And the fact that one of you is called the Trust Restaurant Group — yeesh.
